Make Suet Cake for Birds

Whenever I make broth with meat, I skim off the top to remove access fat. Instead throwing away the grease, I made suet cakes to help birds to go through the winter. Because I mostly shop at local farm market or Asian markets occasionally, I have a lot of 8 oz food containers saved. I filled up these containers with bird seeds and grease mixture, and put in the freezer. When the feeder gets empty, it's time to fill up with a new homemade suet cake!

Val-Kill: Top Cottage
